James Choy is a freelance journalist/photographer residing in Walnut, Calif. Choy has worked extensively in publications around the San Gabriel Valley starting off as an intern in 2004 with the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. After his internship, Choy completed his education at Mt. San Antonio College obtaining three A.A. degrees in Social & Behavioral Sciences, Language Arts & Communications, and Fine Arts & Humanities.
Choy served a number of positions while working at the newspaper–Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Advertising Editor, Sports Editor and Layout Editor. Choy was primarily a sports writer but has also submitted many opinion, feature, entertainment and news articles as well.
During and in-between semesters at Mt. SAC, Choy went on to work for the Walnut Weekly News under Armijo Newspaper and Public Relations in 2007, a newspaper publication based in Walnut as the city sports editor.
Choy served for a year and then quit to return back to school at Cal Poly Pomona in 2008 where he is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in journalism-communications.
All posts submitted in James Choy News consists of both entertainment and sports. Most of the sports entries are rooted from the Mt. San Antonio College, Cal Poly Pomona and other schools locally in the Walnut, Pomona, Diamond Bar, and West Covina area.
